Another way God reassures his own is through dreams(called revelation).
When God wants to give us clear picture of what he wants us to do he does that more through Revelations. When he wants to show us the strategies of the enemy, revelation is the coolest means
Revelations give more details than the other means of communications. Though revelation is cool, but one has to be careful not to be deceived
When Jacob was about meeting his brother and was afraid, that was when he got his share of Reassurance from God through dream. It was there that God renewed the covenant he had with his fathers.
God doesn't joke with his own, that's why he made different means of Reassurance(communication). As a loving father, he does not leave his own ignorant and wandering, but kept reassuring us. God is good!
Conclusion:
The Love the father has over us his kids always draw him back to help us, even when he has decided not to listen to us. That Love says no.
