Topic: THE DIRECTION - Relationship Direction
Word: Isaiah 30:21 NKJV
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.
Here's My Take:
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT RELATIONSHIP DIRECTION:
24. It Helps You Avoid Unnecessary Competition.
Not every person around you is your competitor. Sometimes people become jealous of friends who are succeeding when they should be celebrating them. Healthy relationships allow another person's success to become a source of joy rather than a threat.
If the success of your friend/s doesn't give you joy, then you have a problem. If the success of your friends gives you sleepless nights, then you have to watch out because evil is looming on your way. If you're happy with your friend only when both of you are successful then you're not a nice person.
What generates envy are not big, they're very tiny. But their outcome is very very disastrous. It makes a person burn with rage in the heart. One significant thing about envy is that it can lie low in the mind for years. When it has accumulated, it will start generating unnecessary grievances.
Conclusion:
Most people are indirectly competing with their friends, neighbours, colleagues and even Church members without acknowledging it. Indirect competition is one of the root cause of envy.
Song:
For more and more of You
I desire
A higher realm in You
Let the fire that burns in the throne room of the Lord
Transform my life beyond recognition
Prayer:
Oh Lord take away every spirit of envy residing in our hearts against people around us in Jesus’ name, Amen.
