Word: Joshua 1:1, 5-6 NLT
After the death of Moses the Lord ’s servant, the Lord spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant. He said, No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.
Here's My Take:
What/who can raise someone's confidence:

Who will God reassure?
3. Those walking with God wholeheartedly.
To walk with God, one needs to make up his/her mind. Walking with God isn't child's play, it's a serious business. It's a move one should take adequate decision before embarking on it. It's not a move one should take because others are doing so. If you do that because others are doing so, you'll end up like others.
Taking decision to walking with God requires courage, boldness, selflessness, etc. Because there are things you'll see; there are things you might encounter that may tend to discourage you.
Walking with God wholeheartedly pays, but there will be lots of obstructions, obstacles, hindrances, abuses, hatred, accusations, conspiracies, etc, on the way to bleed your heart. Things that will make you wanna give up. It may be from family; it may be marriage or ministry; it may be business, etc. All the devil wanted is for you not to walk wholeheartedly.
Conclusion:
We don't walk with God by our experiences, we walk with God by his Spirit.
