If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
The Scriptures above helped me understand that I can ask God for anything —literally anything. Before, I used to think there were certain requests you should not make to God until I received light through these passages. Then I learned that I could bring every matter before Him.
For me, it is better to ask and not receive than not to ask at all. Even the things I can do by myself, I still ask Him to give me the wisdom, strength, and grace to do them well.
Have you ever prayed that the food on the fire would turn out delicious? I have done that before. 😄
This may sound funny to some people, but it reflects a heart that recognizes God in every area of life, both big and small. When you develop the habit of involving God in everything, you begin to realize that nothing is too insignificant to bring before Him.
