Topic: Recommendation Birth Condemnation

Word: Luke 7:20 NLT

John’s two disciples found Jesus and said to him, “John the Baptist sent us to ask, ‘Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?’”

Here's My Take:

Example Of Recommendation That Birth Condemnation:

Biblical Characters:

10. John The Baptist: What stood as a stumbling block for John TB was not pride, it was not immorality, it wasn't a misuse of money or abuse of Power, etc, was just a doubt! Not just an ordinary doubt, he doubted his own testimony. And it's not just one testimony, but Testimonies he and all the Prophets of Old shared concerning Jesus Christ as the Messiah.

In my opinion, what made him doubt Jesus as the Messiah was Fear. He knew that Jesus could deliver and save him. But the master was delayed. And the fear of losing his life at that younger age caught him. And he sent people to help him ask that same man he spoke of, if he was what told the people...

"Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?" But Jesus in his Wisdom did not insult John TB or embarrass his messengers. He addressed the issue by causing them to see with their eyes(the miracle JTB missed).

To be continued...

Conclusion:

Remember this "Doubt is the end product of fear. When we entertain fear in our hearts for any situation/condition around us, doubting becomes inevitable."

Song:

You paid the price

The highest price

I'm so grateful

For your love

You took my place

And now I stand

To be called your very own

Because you live

Jesus I live

I have no fear

Of what tomorrow brings

Because you live

Jesus I live today

I live to praise your name

Prayer:

Lord deliver us from the spirit of fear and doubt, in Jesus name. Amen..
