8. Absolom: The recommendations Absalom got from all quarters got into his head and put him in trouble. Nobody would have believed what was inside of Absalom, until the day they manifested. Those exaltations he was receiving from the people prepared him to become a beast.
When those recommendations became overwhelming, I believe that was when he started imagining the Royal Crown and the throne. He saw himself in the place of his father. He never imagined to wait till the time comes; after his father has gone. He decided to take the bull by the horn. Little did he know that the raise is not to the swift. His imagination ruined him.
The case of Absalom is not far from what we see nowadays. We've seen people who wanted to become great/rich/popular overnight without due process. Because of that, they got involved in so many dangerous things and lifestyles. And great was their fall..
Conclusion:
Absalom lost his mind, the moment he began to desire the throne of his Father, when it's not yet time. That's the case of this generation; they have lost their minds more...
