Let's look at the word FAVOUR:
Dictionary: FAVOUR is "an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual" "approval, support, or liking for someone or something." "feel or show approval or preference for."
It is "an approving attitude; good will. an act performed out of good will, generosity, or mercy. prejudice and partiality; favouritism. a condition of being regarded with approval or good will" "friendly regard shown toward another especially by a superior"
"in support of someone: in a way that helps or benefits someone. When decision was taken in favour of someone." "in a state of being liked or approved of by someone"
Conclusion:
A favor is something good or helpful you do for someone else, usually at their request. A blessing can be when you do something good for someone else when they did not ask for your help.
