Topic: CROSSING SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY
Word: Isaiah 14:21 NLT
Kill this man’s children! Let them die because of their father’s sins! They must not rise and conquer the earth, filling the world with their cities.”
Here's My Take:
WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:
4. Arrogance: As typical example of arrogance, we were looking at Michal the Wife of David, who arrogantly criticized David for dancing unto the Lord, when the Ark of God was returned to Jerusalem(2 Samuel 6). But there's one shocking thing I saw in that chapter. All the places the name of this lady, Michal was mentioned, the Bible never referred to her as the wife of David.
Her name was mentioned three times, in verses 16, 18 and 22, in all these places, she was referred to as the Daughter of Saul. Reading that story, you could feel her level of arrogance and disrespect were David her husband was. Imagine being the Daughter of the first King of Israel, imagine that pride!
Her arrogance caused her the Joy of motherhood, and being the pride of her husband. Maybe if she was humble and had given birth to Children, maybe she might have produced a heir to the throne. But arrogance deprived her everything.
To be continued
Conclusion:
Arrogance is a destroyer of destiny and assassinator of success and progress.
Song:
Jesus, keep me near the cross,
There a precious fountain;
Free to all, a healing stream,
Flows from Calv'ry's mountain.
Refrain:
In the cross, in the cross
Be my glory ever,
Till my ransomed soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.
Prayer:
Father don't arrogance cause us to fall inside ditch of regrets in Jesus name. Amen.
