Topic: THE DIRECTION - Ministerial Direction
Word: Proverbs 22:6 KJV
“Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Here's My Take:
Ministerial Direction
1. Indoor Ministry:
Arms of Indoor Ministry
FAMILY: Family is another arm of indoor ministry. There's this Igbo adage that says "Ofu onye anaghi azu nwa"—meaning that training and nurturing of a child is not the responsibility of the parents alone. There's this understanding that family has a significant role they play in the upbringing and development of a child. How a child is or who a child becomes tomorrow, somehow could be traced down a family.
“I noticed that each family has a particular attitude that is peculiar to them... In those days there's a way someone will speak in a function, someone else who has never met him before will immediately tell the family he came from.”
Family is very important in the upbringing of a child. Though parenting plays a major significant role in the life of a child, family too does, but not as parenting. Family most times plays the role of parenting, especially when one or both parents are not available.
To be continued...
Conclusion:
Family is a very important arm of indoor ministry, because without family, the world will be empty and uninteresting to live in.
Song:
So closely knitted into one
They've taken me into their hearts
And I'm so glad to be a part of this great family
Prayer:
O Lord may every child experience the care and Love of parents. In Jesus name. Amen.
