She was on Joseph's hunt. Joseph knew that, and tried all possible ways to avoid her.
But it wasn't possible to totally avoid her, since he lives in the same house with her. Because he must surely come inside the house to attend to his personal needs. The woman too was a housewife, she doesn't work, so she stays at home more often except on rare occasion.
So it was very difficult for yet he tried to avoid her. But since she had made up her mind to have his pound of flesh, she kept him on a monitor, even till the last day. Other days, Joseph had avoided her so many times, but that day was beyond him, so he pulled out leaving his cloth behind and flee.

Conclusion:
When someone is pastering you for sex(especially ladies), in your office, compound, house, or anywhere few persons could be found, be very alert, s/he could strike when you're unaware. That's why most people are forcefully raped..
