What makes a person husband/father is not right for free sex(it could be gotten anywhere, any day, anytime, anyhow). It's not having children(after all there are so many men that have produced so many children without knowing that they did, and there are those that have fathered another man's children without knowing it)
Being a husband/father is a privilege giving to one man by God to govern a particular territory. A territory made up of one woman and as many children as they can handle. He's to provide, protect, look out for them, fight for them(spiritually/physically), give them shelter, give them Love, care, discipline, disciple, honour, encourage and make them proud.
Every other pleasure that follows, are the benefits.
