13. When we refuse to speak up:
One thing everyone should know is that, nobody knows what is in your mind. No one knows what you're thinking about, or what's going on there. Even your body doesn't know what your mind is thinking, until it's done. Then how can someone know that unless you speak up.
Dying in silence has been a slow and dangerous killer, in every union(friendship, marriage, family, etc). It doesn't spare, especially those shy ones.
Not everyone could look at you and observed that you're not actually ok. And not everyone could read meaning into what they observed. Speaking up makes it easy. Instead of getting mad on your friend for not doing what you expected, then speak up and see how understanding s/he will be.
One of the benefit of opening up, is that things will be the way you wanted it.
