Here's My Take: 

Why do people Camouflage?

8. Because of Religion.

Let's look at this first, people Camouflage for two basic things(reasons); for protection and/or for harm, any other reason is rare. I'd hardly seen anything/one Camouflage to doing good; it's either to destroy(harm) or to hide(protection).

Religion has posed a lot of treat to the world, especially Nigeria. Where people hide under it to perpetuate evil.

With Nigeria as a case study, one could write a full book on Religious Camouflaging. 

Religion has been the very means of getting people closer together, for good or for evil.

It's the right tools to convince or confuse or deceive or mislead people. That's why many hide under it

Religious Camouflaging is the ability of hiding under a religion to perform atrocities. 

Some see it as means of making money.

Conclusion:

Anyone who's not misled/confused/ deceived by religion will have peace of mind.
