9. To Do Good.
From our text, King David requested is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake? Left with him, what Saul did to him, he would have punished all of Saul's relations. Yet he chooses to show him kindness. Though he literally did it for the sake of his Best friend, Jonathan. He still has obvious reasons not to show that family kindness.
Let not someone else's opinion about you stop you from doing good. May be you wanted to show a particular family kindness and someone accused you of her affair with any of the family members. And you felt bad and decided not to do go to them again.
Don't let such opinion alter your intentions. Continue doing what you wanna do.
Just like King David said "is there anyone left", meaning that he has helped all already and wanted to be sure that non is left unremembered. I say to you do all you wanted to do and do more; without minding them say them say
Conclusion:
Whenever you wanted to do good, never mind little foxes that spoils the vines. Because whether you like or not, they must show their ugly faces.
