6. Because of tribe/race(familiarism):
One prayer every parent should pray is for their children to succeed(financially, academically, maritally, etc). And also pray that the success should come by ranks; starting from the first child. Without this coming this way, familiarizm will come in. Reason being, any family the second or the other in that rank succeeds ahead of the first child envy will wrought in familiarism.
I know that as our faces are different, so also our successes; pray for them to succeed and by ranks. Because seniors finds it difficult to contend with such situation.
Let's use our experiences at college as a case study(maybe not everyone will understand this). During my days in senior class, we put on white on white, then navy blue cheque and trouser. If you put on a very sparkling white, seniors(final class) will get jealous.
They'll find something they'll use to punish you. If you play football better than them, you're in trouble. Etc. This is what happens when the Juniors do better than their seniors. Today's nugget may sound some how, but let's take cognizant of it. It's very real.
Conclusion:
There's an Igbo adage that said "Umunna nwezuo aku, iro ala" mean when everyone succeed/prospers envy/hatred/jealousy will disappear.
Just pray for them.
