Topic: CAMOUFLAGE
Word: Acts 19:23-29 NLT
serious trouble developed in Ephesus concerning the Way. It began with Demetrius, a silversmith who had a large business manufacturing silver shrines of the Greek goddess Artemis. He called them together, along with others employed in similar trades, and told them: “Gentlemen, you know that our wealth comes from this business. But this man Paul has persuaded many people that handmade gods aren’t really gods at all. And he’s done this throughout the entire province! Of course, I’m not just talking about the loss of public respect for our business. I’m also concerned that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will lose its influence—At this their anger boiled, and they began shouting, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” Soon the whole city was filled with confusion.
Here's My Take:
Why do people Camouflage?
6. Because they won't benefit:
I know of a particular Household that troubled their local Church. This local assembly was the place they gave birth to their children, and untill they grew up.
So both the parents and their wards became a burden to the Church. Infact they control everything.
Reason being that every priest that are always posted to that local assembly always come from their side; because the founder of the Church is from their side too.
But unfortunately, a different and unique priest who was never from their side was posted there. They weren't happy. They tackled the man from the day one till the day he was transferred. Because they man and the wife never allowed them to control the Church as usual or feed their greed.
Therefore they raised dust causing confusion everywhere.
Because they've gained ground from onset, they were able to gain sympathizers. Many left the Church; all the units stopped functioning. So when they tried but couldn't find any rope(couldn't benefit) they left the Church
Conclusion:
Sometimes I asked, what do people gain in creating confusion; what is their benefits?
If you're one of them be careful, because you can never escape the consequences.
Song:
God of Abraham
You're the God of covenant
And of faithful promises
Time and time again
You have proven
You'll do just what You said
Though the storms may come and the winds may blow
I'll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn, when You speak a word
It will come to pass
Great is Your faithfulness to me
Great is Your faithfulness to me
From the rising sun to the setting same, I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me
Prayer:
Father may I not involve myself with those that cause confusions among brethren. Amen.
