What can make your Oil to run dry:

3. Bad pistol and rings: 

iv). Overall loss of power or poor performance:

When an engine has bad Pistol and rings there'll be overall loss or poor performance.

When a minister surrounds himself with friends who are not in-line with his purpose, his performance will be very low. They won't be of a true support to him; ministerially. They may be otherwise, but ministerially, they won't.

Having true friendship is like using the right peg to support a plantain with bunches so that it won't fall before harvest. But wrong friendships means using wrong peg. I had a story of a musician who was famous but later things changed for him. It was friends he kept and helped musically, that sustained him and made him relevant again. Unless you don't intend going far in that area of your specialization.

But if you do, you have to put up with the right people in that line. Looking at the twelve that Jesus chose during his earthly ministry, you'll find out that more were Fishermen. Because winning soul is symbolic to fishing; it takes courage, seriousness, zeal, time, energy, etc. Which is why he told Peter he'll make him fishers of men.

He wasn't looking at their money or their fish, but their strategy.

Good friendships improves your performance. When you notice loss of power, you engage your friends. Through Prayers, worship encouragements and teamwork, your spiritual energy will be boosted.

Conclusion:

Are you a true friend to that your friend?

What's your work in his life; to encourage him to become a better person or more useless?
