Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.  They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

3. They always sit as Judges to pass judgement on everything you did/said:

This is one of the things the Old Prophets are known for. As people that like being ahead, they like making everyone their subjects. Passing judgement on every matter is their natural hobby. Whether what is said or done concerns them or not, they'll pass judgement. Because they believe they're the best or learned, they conclude they'd known all. 

When you see anyone, that anything s/he never ascertained won't be accepted, s/he belong to this kinda Old Prophet. When you see yourself as Lord; everything/everyone must pass through you. And if they don't, you won't give them credit. Watch it, you're acting in like manner!

Jesus said “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.

They were not seating there to watch and pray neither were they there to guide and direct. But to tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders. While they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

They're there to create rules and regulations that will favor only them. So that they see something they'll hold on to pass Judgement.

Conclusion:

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Matthew 7:1‭-‬2 NIV

That scripture isn't meant for the Old Prophets. Because they judge (spiritual/scriptural/natural) things that they don't understand.
