5. They betray easily: 

A story was told that happened somewhere in Nigeria, about how a poor man betrayed his Rich friend. This betrayer used to hang around this man's gate every day. Any time he comes out of his compound, that poor man was there and some other people and they will have a good time. But this man noticed that whenever those guys left for their businesses, this man(poor) will still be there doing nothing.

So he asked him(poor) things he could do and the poor man told him. He now empowered him financially and told him to be staying at his fence and do the petty business, so that he could be busy with his time. Any time this rich man comes back he'll hang around and ask him how the business is going and encourage him. 

But a time came when other tribes were butchered in the Northern part of Nigeria, this Rich man saw some groups of tugs coming towards his compound. Lo and behold it was his friend, the one he'd helped became someone was the one leading them towards his compound

When he fathomed what was going on, he ran to enter his compound, but it was too late. He was knocked down by his best friend, with no one to help. He lifted up his eyes, it was the one he called best friend; the one he lifted from dung and made somebody. He was the one that lifted his cutlas and butchered him.

Conclusion: 

There's Igbo adage often used to qualify a betrayer "Onye ma nmadu na egbu ya" meaning"it's only he that knows someone's in and out(secrets) that will destroy(betray) him/her.

Who and who have you betrayed?
