Therefore let us get past the elementary stage in the teachings about the Christ, advancing on to maturity and perfection and spiritual completeness, [doing this] without laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God

Here's My Take:

Finally on Leaving the Elementary things.
There are lots of things to share about how to know those in Elementary. Time will fail us to write them all. But the reason why our team took time to table all those ones we brought out is for us to know in case we do not know. For there are many who seems to be mature but act elementarily, because they do not know that their actions speak volume. These are things we ignore but they are affecting our maturity in Christ.

Maturity in Christ is not dependent only by your study or speaking of the word but by your actions. That's why the Teachers of the law in all their studies, yet they were not mature in Christ.
So when you find it hard to apologize, whether you're Right or Wrong, you're not far from elementary. When you're too stiff-necked; when you're unteachable; when you're uncontrollable; when you're disrespectful, etc, you're not far from elementary.

No one Leaves the elementary things without the help of the Holy Ghost. He's the only one that has the ability to push anyone out of the elementary, even when s/he is too relaxed and unmovable. So this is a prayer every Child of God should pray, asking God for help. So that we'll become mature in him.
Therefore let us Leave the Elementary things, those things that weigh us down, those things that hinders our maturity.

Conclusion:
For the record: leaving the elementary things includes leaving;
*Elementary teachings that doesn't make us spiritual giant
*Elementary ideologies that makes us irrational
*Undevelopment mentality
*Misbehaviors of any kind
*Things that doesn't add value to our physical, spiritual and material growth.
*Etc.
Therefore let us get past the elementary(beginners) stage in the teachings(things) about the Christ(Christianity), advancing on to maturity and perfection and spiritual completeness
