A Stingy Mindset
You that are always complaining that every time pastors are talking about tithe, offering this, offering that—I don't think you have a problem with the message or lack understanding about it. I think your problem is stinginess. Let me break it down for you.
The Bible asks us to bring 10% of our earnings or gains, not the entire money. For instance, if your gain in today's sales is N100, God said give me N10. He said give me N10 and keep N90. Did He ask for too much? Remember also that this N10 is your security and maintenance money (Read Malachi 3:10-11). Don't you think that your problem is stinginess?
Imagine, because of N10, you'll read the whole Bible to find what you'll use to justify your stinginess?!
Some were faithfully tithing when their earnings were small, but as their earnings increased, they started fighting any pastor that mentioned tithe. And you say this is not stinginess?
How can someone spend so much money on drinking and on chasing other people's future spouses, yet complain about tithe?! My brother, stinginess is your problem; nothing you'll tell me.
Allow those that wish to tithe to do so; stop complaining.
