Topic: THE GOLIATH
Word: 1 Samuel 17:4 KJV
“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.”
Here's My Take:
WHO IS THE GOLIATH TO YOU?
We have established who the GOLIATH was as it was written in the Bible. We'll be looking at who the GOLIATH is to you as a person; as a child of God, in our own context, referencing it from the Scripture.
1. Champion:
There's this set of people that will want to assume the role of superior whenever they see a person. You'll see them in your vicinity, especially in the Church, work place and business area. They like showing authority to everyone around them, even their mates and colleagues.
This kind of Goliath is very jealous and envious. What they will not accept is to have any of their mates or colleagues to be their leader. They won't take it, because that's who they always positioned themselves to be. This is why we have so many envious people around us.
Conclusion:
Goliath doesn't need to announce that he is the Goliath, his attitude and approach will do the talking.
Song:
We win 'cos we've got God on our side
We win without trying
Every time we win 'cos we've got God on our side
Yes, we've got God on our side
Chorus
Here's my victory dance, oh
To Jehovah
He has never lost a battle
From age to age
Pantocrato
Eh, eh, eh
Na you dey fight
Na me dey win, oh
Prayer:
Lord may the words of my enemies never have any effect on me or on my destiny. In Jesus name. Amen.
