Topic: THE GOLIATH
Word: 1 Samuel 17:4 KJV
“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. ”
Here's My Take:
WHO IS THE GOLIATH TO YOU?
2. Giant(1 Samuel 17:4-7): The problem our society is facing today is because of the Giants around us. Just like we were told earlier, these Giants use their influence, affluence and finances to intimidate people. They believe that they have the power and political backup and that whatever they do they will get away with it. Because of that they kept perpetuating evil. Who dares to challenge them?!
A few months ago it was carried in the news how a young lady died mysteriously in the house of one Giant in the society. The cause of her death till date has not been discovered. She was buried without autopsy. When her family raised alarm and demanded for justice, they were threatened. Everyone went silent. And the case closed.
That's the society we are in. Society where Giants have captured; they captured the judiciary, the legislative and the executive arm of the Government to remain the Giants. Because of that, there's no problem you'll get with them and you'll get fair hearing.
To be continued...
Conclusion:
There's time for everything; time to reign and time to be replaced. Even Goliath can confirm that.
Song: Hymn
Who taught the sun?
Where to stand in the morning
And who taught the ocean
You can only come this far
And who showed the moon
Where to hide till evening
Whose words alone can
Catch a falling star
Well I know my Redeemer lives
I know my redeemer lives
All of creation testifies
This life within me cries
I know my redeemer lives
Prayer:
Oh Lord remove any Goliath holding our society hostage. In Jesus name. Amen.
