THE GOLIATH

Topic: THE GOLIATH

Word: 1 Samuel 17:4 KJV

“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.”

Here's My Take:

WHO IS THE GOLIATH TO YOU?

2. Giant (1 Samuel 17:4-7):

Giants are those we refer to as calibers because of their financial status, political status and influence in the society. This kind of Goliath uses his influence to oppress. He knows his worth in society. He knows the wealth and authority he commands. And he knows who and who to talk to and he will get what he wants. He knows people to reach out to and he will get away with any bad thing he did.

Because of his affluence, influence and financial status, he oppresses the poor and the needy. Because he knows fully well that nobody will speak for them, he will do with them as he please. Goliath wants only him to remain the Giant in the society, and if anyone dares to compete with him, the person will be eliminated immediately.

Nobody dares to challenge his status. He wants everyone around him to be his slave. And anyone that refuses to submit will either run far away from him or get killed.

To be continued...

Conclusion:

Not every Goliath appears as a giant physically, but their evil attitude and dangerous character made them giants.

Read that again.
