Topic: THE GOLIATH
Word: 1 Samuel 17:4 KJV
“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.”
Here's My Take:
WHO IS THE GOLIATH TO YOU?
3. Killer (1 Samuel 17:8-9):
Every Goliath is a killer. Because that was what he positioned himself to do. Goliath doesn't necessarily kill by swords or arrows or ammunition; he does that also through his mouth.
1 Samuel 17:8-11 NIV
“Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, ‘Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. If he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us.’ Then the Philistine said, ‘This day I defy the armies of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other.’ On hearing the Philistine’s words, Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified.”
The words of Goliath are like a sharp arrow in the chest capable of making a man terrified. Most people have lost the humanity in them because of the things someone said to them, some have done terrible things as a result of the words they heard. The time they should be encouraged was the time they were stabbed with words of humiliation.
To be continued...
Conclusion:
If only you know how much words hurt, you will not want to talk anyhow. For there's nothing different between Goliath and you if you make people feel terrible.

So closely knitted into one
They've taken me into their hearts
And I'm so glad to be a part of this great family
Prayer:
Oh Lord purge us from using wrong words on people. In Jesus name. Amen.
