Topic: THE DIRECTION - Ministerial Direction

Word: Proverbs 22:6 KJV

“Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Here's My Take:

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MINISTERIAL DIRECTION:

8

It teaches ministers how to handle people.

Ministry is not only about preaching. It involves people.

A minister needs direction in:

  • Leadership
  • Conflict management
  • Communication
  • Counseling
  • Delegation
  • Correction
  • Accountability
  • Relationship management
9

It protects the minister from burnout.

Some ministers try to do everything themselves.

Jesus Himself delegated and worked with people. Moses also had to learn delegation through Jethro's counsel in Exodus 18.

Direction teaches a minister that being called does not mean being available for everything.

10

It helps a minister recognize seasons.

There are seasons of preparation, obscurity, building, expansion, transition, and multiplication.

Trying to force the next season before the present one is complete can create unnecessary problems.

Conclusion:

Ministerial Direction teaches that to achieve great results, don't rush too many things at the same time; take one step at a time, as God leads you.

Song:

Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me

Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me

Prayer:

Lord give us a clear direction of our ministries and help us to follow it diligently In Jesus name. Amen.
