THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MINISTERIAL DIRECTION:
It Prevents Premature Exposure. Some people want a platform before they have developed the capacity to carry it. They want to be seen before they are prepared.
Ministerial direction teaches that preparation often precedes public manifestation.
David was anointed long before he occupied the throne. Joseph received the dream long before he entered the palace.
It Teaches the Minister How to Handle Success. Failure is not the only thing that can destroy ministry. Success can also destroy an undirected minister.
Popularity, money, influence, invitations, large crowds, and recognition can introduce pride and distraction.
A minister needs direction not only when things are difficult, but also when things are going well.
It Teaches the Difference Between Influence and Impact. Having many followers does not necessarily mean having great impact. A minister can become popular without being transformative.
Direction keeps the minister focused on impact rather than applause.
Popularity counts how many people know you; impact counts how many lives changed because of you.
