“Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Here's My Take:
Ministerial Direction
1. Indoor Ministry:
Arms of Indoor Ministry
FAMILY: Within the family, there is order and responsibility. We have the father, mother, uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Each of these has a role they are expected to play in the nurturing and development of a child.
The men, for instance, carry a significant responsibility for the leadership, guidance, protection, and well-being of the family.
The women also play an indispensable role in the building, nurturing, and stability of the family. Their contributions are not secondary in importance, because the success of a family requires the cooperation, wisdom, strength, and support of both the men and the women.
The young people are also important members of the family. They keep friendship, connection, and positive vibes alive. These relationships, among other things, help to guide, train, and prepare the child for the responsibilities of life.
“Although family members may have different roles and responsibilities, there are situations where they may need to support one another and take up additional responsibilities when necessary. The goal is not competition but cooperation.”
Conclusion:
A healthy family functions best when every member understands that he or she has a role to play in building, protecting, supporting, and nurturing the family.
