Forms of Ministry
1. Indoor Ministry: Indoor Ministry may not be the widely recognized form of ministry, but it is where most ministerial journeys begin. Although Indoor Ministry may appear simple, it is often one of the most challenging forms of ministry.
The reason is that mistakes made during the period in which this ministry is carried out may affect the destinies and future direction of the people under its influence.
One of the challenges we have is that many Indoor Ministers do not know—or do not believe—that they are ministers. They have already concluded that those involved in Outdoor Ministry are the ones truly ministering. Unfortunately, many Outdoor Ministers share the same mindset.
“Indoor Ministry is one of the most important aspects of ministry. What a child eventually becomes, for instance, is largely shaped from the home.”
If a child does not receive the necessary training, guidance, support, and nurturing at home, it may become much more difficult to provide them elsewhere.
We must not forget that Indoor Ministry has raised giants for the Kingdom. Many great men and women who later impacted the world were first shaped by someone within the small circle of their homes, families, or immediate environments.
Conclusion:
A popular saying goes, “Charity begins at home.” In the same way, ministry often begins at home—through Indoor Ministry—before extending to the streets and the wider world through Outdoor Ministry.
