Topic: THE DIRECTION - Relationship Direction
Word: Isaiah 30:21 NKJV
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.
Here's My Take:
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT RELATIONSHIP DIRECTION:
26. Relationship Direction Protects Your Peace.
Some relationships constantly produce confusion, fear, manipulation, bitterness, and emotional exhaustion.
Relationship Direction helps you recognize when preserving a relationship is costing you more than it is producing.
27. Relationship Direction Also Requires Self-Examination. This may be one of the most important additions.
It is easy to ask, “What kind of people are around me?”
But we should also ask:
“What kind of person am I to the people around me?” Sometimes the problem in our relationships is not the people we attract but the way we relate to them.
28. Relationship Direction makes you pay attention to yourself as well. Because you are always trying to make people feel safe around you, you may forget to check whether you actually feel safe around them.
Trying to make people feel safe around you when you are not sure of your own safety around them is unhealthy—and, sometimes, even insane.
Conclusion:
Relationship Direction teaches us to care for others without neglecting ourselves. It helps us understand that healthy relationships should provide room for mutual safety, trust, respect, and peace.
Song:
And all my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Prayer:
O Lord deliver us from fake relationships. In Jesus name. Amen.
