23. It Helps You Understand Authority.
Relationships exist at different levels—family, friendship, marriage, workplace, ministry, mentorship, leadership, and so on. The way you relate to your friend should not necessarily be the way you relate to your boss, mentor, parent, or spiritual leader.
Relationship Direction teaches relational order. No matter how close you are to your mentor, boss, or spiritual leader, there are boundaries that must be respected.
Sometimes, these people are too meek and lowly, and people take advantage of their humility. Even if you live in an environment where the culture promotes equality, certain relationships still require honor and respect.
When we talk about respect, we are not talking about fear or feeling intimidated by someone's presence. True respect and honor should come from a place of love and understanding. When it comes naturally, without being forced or demanded, it will flow easily—anytime and anywhere.
Conclusion:
Relationship Direction teaches us that closeness should never erase honor, and familiarity should never destroy respect. Value their role, time and goal.
