Topic: The Destructive Nature Of Greed
The Bible told us according to Exodus 16:13-18, that God sent manna to the children of Israel and gave them these instructions: Each household should gather as much as it needs. Pick up two quarts for each person in your tent.” Do you know that some went and gathered more, making some to have only a little?
This same greed still exists today.
This kind of attitude made my Pastor in my former location declared "operation one man one meat".
Why?
Then our Church used to kill a cow whenever we were having a December retreat program. One day my Pastor entered the kitchen to know how things were going. As he was looking around he noticed that there were so many foodflask here and there. He decided to open one of them. It was filled with meat. He decided to open all of them. He saw the same thing. He ordered them to pour everything back. Then he declared "operation one man one meat!"
The Bible says "So the people of Israel did as they were told. Some gathered a lot, some only a little." Exodus 16:17 NLT
No organization, nation, family, etc, thrives where there are greedy people.
