A friend will always show that he loves you. Relatives are there to help you when you are in trouble.
There are people that have substituted family with friends. They trusted and believe more in their friends more than they do to their family. Yes I know that most family members may be annoying, but don't write them all off.
The Bible tells you that a friend will show you love --- he can bring you gifts, visit you, etc. But a family member won't leave you stranded.
Have a large room in your heart that will accommodate both. Because, family is family no matter what.
Always remember, "where there is a good family, friendship may not be necessary. But where there are good friends, family is necessary."
