WHAT SPIRITUAL DIRECTION DOES FOR US:
7. Spiritual Direction Builds Sensitivity to God.
The more a person follows spiritual direction, the more sensitive he becomes to God’s voice, warnings, instructions, and leading. Spiritual sensitivity helps a person stay connected to God continually.
8. Spiritual Direction Helps Us Understand Purpose.
Many people are active but not purposeful. Spiritual direction helps a person understand why he exists and what assignment God has committed into his hands. Without spiritual direction, people may spend years succeeding in things that are unrelated to their actual purpose.
9. Spiritual Direction Reduces Unnecessary Battles.
Some battles people fight today are products of wrong positioning and lack of divine guidance. Spiritual direction helps a person avoid unnecessary stress, conflicts, and struggles. When God leads a person, many burdens become lighter.
Conclusion:
Spiritual direction is not only for pastors, prophets, or spiritual leaders; it is a necessity for everyone. A life without spiritual direction easily becomes vulnerable to confusion, deception, frustration, and wrong decisions.
