Topic: THE DIRECTION
Word: 1 Samuel 30:7-8 NLT
Then he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring me the ephod!” Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes..."
Here's My Take:
AREAS WE SEEK FOR DIRECTIONS:
2. Spiritual Direction: One remarkable thing about spiritual direction is that it gives peace even when the journey is difficult. A person who is directed by God may face challenges, but deep within, there is confidence because he knows he is walking according to divine patterns.
Remember, spiritual direction is not merely about hearing God; it is also about aligning with what He says. Because revelation without alignment produces frustration, but revelation with obedience produces manifestation.
So therefore if you truly want to follow God, follow Him wholeheartedly. Half obedience and divided attention will only produce delay and confusion. The more a person fellowships with God, the clearer His voice/vision becomes.
Conclusion:
Spiritual Direction is an advantage. It helps us align well and makes life journeys safe and interesting.
Even though life becomes tough, you will know your way out. Because you'll never get confused.
Song:
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then I am still and wait here in the silence
Until You come and sit awhile with me
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on Your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
Prayer:
Oh Lord order our steps and help us not to walk in our own understanding, Lord in Jesus’ name, Amen.
