The most ironic word in this life is the word FREEDOM.
That word is actually the opposite of what it appears to be. When people say they want freedom—to live how they like, do what they like, and act however they please—they are often putting themselves into bondage. They think they are free, but they are actually slaves to self… and possibly to Satan.
Nobody does whatever he or she likes and goes free without accountability. Every action carries consequences.
Spiritually, naturally, and even emotionally, every man is subject to a higher authority. A person is either subject to the government, to a deity, or to himself—his emotions, will, and desires.
The point is: there is really nothing like absolute freedom. Even in Freetown, everybody is still subject to somebody or something.
