People will always forget who gave them food...
Speaking from experience—or should I say speaking as a victim. Many times people have come around me, and I did my best to ensure they didn't leave with an empty stomach.
Even when I didn't have, I would go out and get it for them. But I realized that whenever they're expressing gratitude, you won't hear them mention the ones that gave them food.
"What people keep with them (material things), they won't forget. But what goes to the stomach goes to the pit, and it is forgotten."
Does it mean food isn't important? Or is it just human nature to forget the hand that sustains them?
