Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter With The Pharisees:
The Bible says that despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, most of the people still did not believe in Him. But many people did believe in Him, including some of the Jewish leaders. However, they would not admit it openly for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue. For they loved human praise more than the praise of God (John 12:37, 42–43 NLT).
The Bible says they loved human praise more than the praise of God. They preferred the law to the grace of God. Because of what their colleagues in the synagogue might say, they chose to hide their faith.
Fear, selfishness, and greed are three major factors that can cause people to deny the truth.
Conclusion:
Today, I can boldly say that there are many priests in other religions who know that Christ is God and that He is the only way to heaven. They may even believe that Christianity is the true faith. Yet, because of fear, selfishness, or greed, they choose not to acknowledge it openly.
