For the sake of your health, always ensure you release the air in your stomach. Doing so can reduce the buildup of gas and help prevent gastric problems.
But when you hold it in for too long, you may put your stomach under unnecessary discomfort.
A friend of mine once shared the advice his mother gave him. She told him to always release gas whenever necessary. According to him, since he started following that advice, he hardly falls ill.
So, to avoid being misunderstood, find a quiet or solitary place and do the needful. It might just save you from stomach problems.
