The Nugget Series
Topic: THE PHARISEES
Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
"The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses."
Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter With The Pharisees:
I saw something yesterday on Facebook. You know we have been talking about how the crowd that followed Jesus made the Pharisees want to commit murder instead of recognizing the wonders God was doing through His Son, Jesus. Because of the crowd, they felt they had lost their ministry, fame, and popularity. That stirred envy, jealousy, and wickedness in their hearts. They sought to kill Jesus or anyone associated with Him.
They refused to be like Joseph’s brothers who failed to recognize their own. They refused to be like the Pharisees who felt threatened by the grace of God upon his life — the grace that has drawn the world to pray every morning. They came to encourage him and to let him know that they see what God is doing through him — and that they are part of it.
Conclusion:
Anyone who refuses to align with or celebrate you when you are progressing may actually see you as a threat. And sometimes, that reaction is rooted in pride.
🎵 Song:
What the Lord has done for me
I have no words of expression
Except to shout Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Ogayolo Ogayolo Ogayolo
Ogayolo Ogayolo Ogayolo
Prayer: Lord let this Love be genuine, and may the devil never raise Judas amongst them. In Jesus name. Amen.
