Topic: THE PHARISEES
Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter With The Pharisees:
Then the Pharisees asked the man all about it. So he told them, “He put the mud over my eyes, and when I washed it away, I could see!” Then the Pharisees again questioned the man who had been blind and demanded “What’s your opinion about this man who healed you?” The man replied, “I think he must be a prophet.” The Jewish leaders still refused to believe the man had been blind and could now see, so they called in his parents.
They asked them, “Is this your son? Was he born blind? If so, how can he now see?” His parents replied, “We know this is our son and that he was born blind, but we don’t know how he can see or who healed him. Ask him. He is old enough to speak for himself.” John 9:9-24 NLT
No miracle Jesus did confuse the Pharisees like this particular one. They couldn't imagine how such a thing could happen. In fact they were so confused that they had to question his healing three times. May your miracle put your enemies in absolute confusion...
Conclusion:
One enemy that you can never make peace with no matter how you try is that envious enemy. That was why no matter the good Jesus did, the Pharisees continue to hate him.
Song:
Your name is the highest
Your name is the greatest
Your name stands above them all
All thrones and dominions
All powers and positions
Your name stands above them all
Prayer:
Lord may our miracles be a puzzle to our enemies. In Jesus name. Amen.
