I asked What is family?

It says, “a group of one or two parents and their child or children living together as a unit,” or “all the descendants of a common ancestor.”

For me, family goes beyond that. Family is a group of one or two parents and their child or children living together in peace and harmony.

The reason I say this is because I have seen families, and I often wonder why they are even called families. I have seen a family where both parents live separately, more than 200 kilometers apart. I have seen families that don’t even know the whereabouts of their children. I have seen families where the children were shared between their parents, and they only come together during celebrations.

I have also seen families that live under the same roof, yet they don’t agree with one another.
