“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter With The Pharisees:
During Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the people were shouting "Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!” But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!”
The people were expressing their solidarity and support for the man they loved. And what they were saying about Him was nothing but the truth. Yet, the Pharisees found it offensive and asked Jesus to silence them. This attitude didn’t end with the Pharisees. It is very much alive today.
In our present time, there are places you can go where the name of Jesus is forbidden—shockingly, even in nations that claim to be Christian. This became a serious concern, even in the United States. Thank God for the present administration; otherwise, it could have become chaotic.
There are also people who become uncomfortable, even aggressive, when they hear you acknowledge Jesus openly. His name unsettles them. His praise threatens them.
But whether they like it or not, El reinado de Jesús debe extenderse
Conclusion:
Instead of shutting the people down, Jesus told the Pharisees “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!” Luke 19:40 NLT
Song:
Hold me close
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near
Draw me to Your side
And as I wait
I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love
Prayer:
Lord, may stones never take my place in telling the world about Christ. In Jesus name. Amen.
