Topic: THE PHARISEES
Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter Me The Pharisees:
Pharisees make themselves popular by poking their noses into everything. They want to know everything, be everywhere, and be involved whether it concerns them or not. They crave attention and want to be noticed at all times.
When they saw the fast-growing fame and popularity of Jesus, they felt unsafe and threatened. They believed their position was being taken away, and this troubled them deeply. That was why they kept following Jesus closely.
Out of fear of losing relevance and popularity, they began to complain about everything Jesus did. Their complaints were an attempt to penetrate Jesus’ mind and insert themselves into His ministry—so they could influence Him and regain their position. But Jesus never gave them that chance. The more they tried, the more backlash they received.
Conclusion:
Most times, the enemy complains about us—our children, our businesses, our lifestyle—not because they care, but because they want to be involved in our decisions. They want to manipulate us and decide for us.
Song:
Thank You
Thank You very much
You are the Savior with the spiritual touch
Praise You
Praise Your holy Name
Since You touched my life I′ll never be the same
Prayer:
Lord, may I not follow footsteps of the Pharisees. In Jesus name. Amen.
