“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter Me The Pharisees:
During the triumphant entry of Jesus to Jerusalem, the Bible said "as he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.
“Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!” But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!” Luke 19:36-39 NLT
The Pharisees on hearing what they were saying to Jesus demanded that he rebuke them. See, I don't have much issues with the attitudes of the Pharisees towards Jesus. But what I don't understand is how they're everywhere Jesus was...if he's on top of the mountain, in the valley, ocean, etc.
Conclusion:
After that complaint of the Pharisees, Jesus replied “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!” Luke 19:40 NLT
