THE PHARISEES:

Topic: THE PHARISEES

Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.

Here’s My Take:

Jesus Encounter Me The Pharisees:

After Jesus told the parable of the shrewd manager to his Disciples. He taught about faithfulness and said “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.” Luke 16:10-13 NLT

The Bible said that The Pharisees, who dearly loved their money, heard all this and scoffed at him. Luke 16:14 NLT.

The Pharisees always feel uncomfortable about Jesus teaching, because they don't like any teaching that hits them directly. They want a filtered teaching, that will praise their good works, and keep them at the place of honor. This made me remember those days in some Churches, they used to have very few men that were very rich. And they were the financial pillars of those churches

If you're a pastor of such a Church, you must sensor your messages. To avoid saying something that will provoke them. So that they won't leave your Church. Just like the Pharisees, they hate any message that will hit them directly. And if such happens, they withdraw their membership and support.

Conclusion:
The worst ditch any Pastor will enter is to have the Pharisees in his Church. Unless he will be as bold as our Lord Jesus was, during His encounters with them.

Song:
Thank You
Thank You very much
You are the Savior with the spiritual touch
Praise You
Praise Your holy Name
Since You touched my life I′ll never be the same

Prayer:
Lord, help me to stay faithful in everything. In Jesus name. Amen.
