“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter Me The Pharisees:
Luke 14:1-6 NLT
One Sabbath day Jesus went to eat dinner in the home of a leader of the Pharisees, and the people were watching him closely. There was a man there whose arms and legs were swollen. Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in religious law, “Is it permitted in the law to heal people on the Sabbath day, or not?”
When they refused to answer, Jesus touched the sick man and healed him and sent him away. Then he turned to them and said, “Which of you doesn’t work on the Sabbath? If your son or your cow falls into a pit, don’t you rush to get him out?” Again they could not answer.
Hahahaha. You know that, there's a way someone will be looking for your trouble and you get sick and tired of avoiding them. Then you decide to turn the table against them, by giving them reasons to continue looking for your trouble. Jesus already knew that the Pharisees will always question while he healed someone on a Sabbath, he decided to ask them first. Just to let them know that he knows what's going on in their minds.
Conclusion:
When you understand your enemies and their devices, you can easily tell their next move.
Song:
Lord I hunger for more and more of you
I desire for all I am with you
Let the fire that burns
In the throne room of the Lord
Transform my life beyond recognition
Prayer:
Lord, may I find favor before the Pharisees. In Jesus name. Amen.
