Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!

Word: Jonah 1:15 NLT
Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!

Here's My Take:

What Jonah stands for…

6. Silent Saboteur:
How to know the Silent Saboteur…

b. They don’t contribute, but they reduce your progress. Silent Saboteurs do not add value to your life; instead, they reduce you to almost nothing. Their mere association with you is enough to bring you to your knees. When you look at them, they may appear good and presentable, but they have nothing to offer.

Jonah brought nothing valuable to the ship, yet he almost made them lose everything. Any man who has nothing to worry about has nothing to fear. If Jonah had goods on that ship, he wouldn’t have gone down to sleep—he would have stayed awake to watch over them.

From his story, you’ll notice he was the only one who went to sleep, while the others stayed awake watching over their goods. And he was the only one who lost nothing. He came in with nothing, yet he made others lose their properties.

Congratulations:
There are people today who don’t know what is troubling them. They may not realize that a Jonah is in their lives. And they may never notice it early, because Jonah always looks innocent—until the lot falls on him.

Song:
From my spirit
To my soul
Until my voice
Re-echoes
You are worthy of my worship

Prayer:
Lord, may Lot fall on any Jonah hiding around us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
