Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!
Word: Jonah 1:15 NLT
Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!
Here's My Take:
What Jonah stands for...
6. Silent Saboteur:
Silent saboteurs have a unique identity or mode of operation… they come gently… respectfully… quietly… friendly… calmly…
They don't make noise. They don't show themselves. They follow you or do things that will make you accept them without a query. But their hearts are very far from you.
Just like Jonah, they will enter your ship (organizations, family, church, etc.) undetected. Appearing like others, dressed like others, doing everything they do, eating from the same plate with everyone, but in their minds, they’re different. Their mission is different. Their purpose is different.
When you see this Jonah around or around anything that concerns you, everything will look normal from the time he entered—until the storm that follows him shows up. Then it will be difficult to lay him off, because you’ve gotten used to him. That’s exactly what happened when the lot fell on Jonah, and he demanded to be thrown inside the sea. But it was not easy for them.
Congratulations:
Don't confuse gentleness for good character. Don’t confuse calmness for meekness. Because someone can possess the former and lack the latter.
Song:
Take me deeper
Deeper in love with You
Jesus hold me close
In Your embrace
Take me deeper
Deeper than I've ever been before
I just want to love You more and more
How I long to be deeper in love
Prayer:
Lord, let every silent saboteurs be exposed and cut off from amongst us. In Jesus. Amen
