5. Misidentification:
Nothing breaks and exposes Jonah if not the Truth. Jonah was fast asleep even with that heavy storm. He was fast asleep amidst the shouts and cries of those onboard. None of those noises shook him or woke him up. Until the sailors brought him up. Then lots were cast. The lot cast didn’t break the silence or reveal his identity.
Until those onboard demanded to know who he was, Jonah would have remained unperturbed if not that the lot spoke the truth. Only the truth can break Jonah — not your shout, not the storm, etc. Jonah may be hiding in your boat and you never know. But only one truth will expose and expel him.
If you don’t cast your lot, he will remain silent. Praying for discernment is one of the ways to cast your lot. It takes the Spirit of God to help us find Jonahs these days. Because by just looking at him, you won’t see Jonah. Also pray for God to expose every Jonah hiding in plain sight.
Conclusion:
What you misidentify… you will mismanage.
And once it’s mismanaged… you may lose peace, progress, and destiny over it.
